RADNOR, Pa. - Sophomore swimming student-athlete Christina Melchiorre has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending Sunday, January 11.

Despite the 154-92 loss to Widener on Saturday, Melchiorre found some individual success, winning the 200 and 500 yard freestyle in 2:04.18 and 5:36.14, respectively.

The sophomores win in the 500 yard freestyle marks her 18th individual first place finish on the year.

Melchiorre also combined with senior Morgan Griffith and freshmen Brooke Hagan and Casey Merrill to capture a victory in the 200 yard freestyle relay, reaching the wall in 1:47.77.

The Blue and White will host Ursinus on Saturday at the Dixon Pool. The meet is scheduled to begin at 11 a.m.
