Sophomore Jess Giordano has been named the CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week, for the week ending Sunday, March 20.
 
Last week, Giordano's efforts at the plate and in the pitcher’s circle helped lead the Cavaliers to a 3-0 week. The Blue and White earned a 2-0 win at Delaware Valley on Thursday before scoring 13-2 and 9-2 wins over Immaculata on Saturday. 
 
Giordano earned a pair of wins in the circle for Cabrini, after tossing a four hit shutout at Delaware Valley and surrendering just three hits and no earned runs with three strike outs against the Mighty Macs. 
 
Giordano also impressed in the batter's box, as the sophomore went 8-9 during the week, with four RBI and two runs scored in the three wins. 
 
On the year, Giordano is 2-2 in the circle and leads the Cavaliers with 15 strike outs and a team low, 2.10 ERA. The sophomore also leads the team at the plate with a .400 batting average, ten hits and six RBI.
