Senior Lauren Alessi has been named CabriniAthletics.com Student-Athlete of the Week for the week ending September 25, 2011.

The political science major the lone goal in Cabrini’s 1-0 home CSAC victory over Immaculata University.

Alessi’s goal last week was a little different than the other 41 of her collegiate career.  Not only did it give the Cavaliers the victory to improve their record to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the CSAC, but combined with her 16 career assists, Alessi’s goal put her at the 100 Career Point plateau.
 
Alessi is one of less than 15 active Division III field hockey players with at least 100 points.  Her 42 career goals also rank her among the top 15 active goal scorers.

Through Cabrini’s seven games in 2011, Alessi leads the Cavaliers with five assists and ranks second with three goals and 11 points.

Cabrini will return to the field this evening when they travel o Dallas, Pa. to face Misericordia University for a 4:00 p.m. nonconference match.
