RADNOR, Pa. ¬ The Cabrini women's tennis team collected an 8-1 win against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) foe Rosemont College Saturday.
Senior Christine Telling keyed the Cavaliers in single play, logging a 7-5, 6-0 victory at the No. 2 position. Junior Nicole Pontious also won in straight sets, recording a 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 3 position.
Sophomore Stephanie Tighe claimed 6-3, 6-4 victory at the four spot. Freshman Alexis DiCamillo posted a 6-1, 6-0 triumph at the No. 5 position.
Rookie Michelle Lettman tallied a 6-0, 6-2 win at the No. 6 spot.
Cabrini raced to a 3-0 lead after doubles play. Senior Dina DiTaranto with partner Telling notched an 8-5 victory at the No. 1 spot.
Pontious and Tighe earned an 8-0 decision at the No. 2 position. DiCamillo and Tighe collected an 8-2 win at the three spot.
Cabrini (13-3, 8-1) will plays its final non-conference match of the 2008 season Monday, October 13 against Richard Stockton College at home. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
