Men's Tennis Knocks Off Marywood University, 6-3

Senior Justin Walsh earned his fifth straight win in singles play against Marywood University Sunday.

The Cabrini men's tennis team captured its fourth straight win, including third consecutive in Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) play, with a 6-3 victory at Marywood University Sunday.

Senior Justin Walsh won his fifth straight singles match and team-best ninth overall, topping Evan Bolus at the No. 2 position, 6-3, 6-2.

Sophomore Mingkuang Luo earned his sixth singles victory of the season, claiming a come-from-behind 3-6, 6-4, 6-2 triumph at the lead-off position against Greg Chilson.

Rookie Brendon Hajas matched Walsh's club-best win streak, totaling his fifth consecutive victory with a 7-6 (8-6), 4-6, 6-1 marathon victory versus Bao Nguyen at the No. 5 position.

Freshman Walter Jesuncosky posted a 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 win at the No. 6 position against John Domider.

The Cavaliers tallied two doubles wins, sparked by Luo and Walsh's 8-4 victory at the No. 1 spot against Bolus and Chilson. Jesuncosky and Hajas earned an 8-5 triumph at the No. 3 position versus Nguyen and Domider.

Cabrini (6-5, 4-1) returns home Tuesday, April 7 against Gwynedd-Mercy College. Match time is set for 3:30 p.m.
