Women's Tennis Suffers 6-3 Loss Against Neumann University

Sophomore Michelle Lettman recorded her third singles win of the season against Neumann University Tuesday.

The Cabrini women's tennis team continued its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule with a 6-3 loss against Neumann University Tuesday afternoon. Freshman Gabriela Durand improved her singles record to a perfect 3-0 this season at the No. 3 position against the Knights.

Durand topped senior Allison Trout with her second come-from-behind win in as many matches, rallying for a 4-6, 7-6, 10-6 victory.

Including Durand's win, the Cavaliers swept the first three singles matches. Sophomore Michelle Lettmann also rallied for a win, downing sophomore Jasper Thomson 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 2 position for her third triumph of the season.

Sophomore Alexis DiCamillo earned her first win of the season in singles play at the No. 1 position against sophomore Ali DeTolla by virtue of the retirement rule.

The Knights entered singles competition with a 3-0 lead as a result of sweeping the doubles segment.

Cabrini (0-6, 0-2) returns home Thursday, September 17 for a match with Bryn Mawr College at 3:30 p.m. The Cavaliers and Owls also met earlier this season. Bryn Mawr earned an 8-1 win against Cabrini September 5.
