ASTON, Pa. – The Cabrini women's tennis team continued its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule with a 6-3 loss against Neumann University Tuesday afternoon. Freshman Gabriela Durand improved her singles record to a perfect 3-0 this season at the No. 3 position against the Knights.
Durand topped senior Allison Trout with her second come-from-behind win in as many matches, rallying for a 4-6, 7-6, 10-6 victory.
Including Durand's win, the Cavaliers swept the first three singles matches. Sophomore Michelle Lettmann also rallied for a win, downing sophomore Jasper Thomson 2-6, 6-3, 6-4 at the No. 2 position for her third triumph of the season.
Sophomore Alexis DiCamillo earned her first win of the season in singles play at the No. 1 position against sophomore Ali DeTolla by virtue of the retirement rule.
The Knights entered singles competition with a 3-0 lead as a result of sweeping the doubles segment.
Cabrini (0-6, 0-2) returns home Thursday, September 17 for a match with Bryn Mawr College at 3:30 p.m. The Cavaliers and Owls also met earlier this season. Bryn Mawr earned an 8-1 win against Cabrini September 5.
