Women's Tennis Stumbles in Home Opener Against Division II Philadelphia University

Sophomore Alexis DiCamillo, with classmate Michelle Lettman, notched a doubles victory at No. 1 position Thursday.

RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's tennis team opened the home portion of its 2009 schedule Thursday at the Dixon Courts. Division II opponent Philadelphia University totaled an 8-1 win against the Cavaliers.

Sophomores Alexis DiCamillo and Michelle Lettmann captured their first win of the season in their 2009 debut as doubles partners. DiCamillo and Lettmann notched an 8-6 victory against the Rams' Brittany Villa and Christina Brzozowski.

In 2008, DiCamillo and Lettmann finished 14-6 overall in doubles play en route to CSAC Second Team recognition.

Cabrini (0-2) returns to the courts Saturday, September 5 at the Moravian College Tournament against Ramapo College at 9 a.m. The Cavaliers will play a second match Saturday at 2 p.m. against an opponent to be determined.
