ALLENTOWN, Pa. –
The No. 2 seed Cabrini women's tennis team has advanced to the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) Final for the sixth time in the last seven seasons following 5-4 win against No. 3 seed Marywood University on Friday afternoon at the West End Racquet Club.

The Cavaliers trailed coming out doubles play, winning at the No. 2 position with junior Alexis DiCamillo and freshman Adriana Scotto, 8-3, against the Pacers' Kara Hoff and Melissa Haddock.

Marywood earned a point at the No. 1 spot after Caili Nizamis and Erika Von Zup topped Cabrini junior Gabriela Durand and freshman Katie Kennedy, 8-6. The Pacers also claimed a win at the No. 3 doubles match by way of a Cavaliers' forfeit.

However, Cabrini seized control of the match in singles action, winning matches one through four. Kennedy keyed the success, tallying a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 spot against Nizamis.

Durand and DiCamillo each claimed their 15th win overall and 10th consecutive with victories at the No. 2 and 3 matches, respectively. Durand downed Hoff, 6-2, 6-3, while DiCamillo knocked off Beth Schneider, 6-4, 6-1.

Scotto posted a 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 triumph at the No. 4 position against Von Zup.

The victory places the Blue & White on the doorstep of its fifth CSAC crown in seven seasons. The Cavaliers won four consecutive titles, beginning with the 2004 campaign.

Cabrini (15-2) will meet No. 1 seed Gwynedd-Mercy College on Saturday at 4 p.m. for the right to advance to the NCAA Tournament. Gwynedd-Mercy advanced to the CSAC Final with a 6-0 win against No. 4 seed Cedar Crest College earlier Friday.
