ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Gwynedd-Mercy College women's tennis team spoiled Cabrini's pursuit of its fifth Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) title since the 2004 season, posting a 5-0 win in the league final on Saturday afternoon at the West End Racquet Club.

The Griffins owned a 3-0 lead coming out of doubles competition after recording wins at the No. 1 and 2 matches, and earning a victory by way of forfeit at the No. 3 position.

Heather Morgan clinched the title for Gwynedd-Mercy, downing Cabrini freshman Victoria Nastala at the No. 5 match, 6-2, 6-2. The Griffins also won at the No. 6 spot in singles action due to forfeit.

The top four singles matches went unfinished. The victory marks the third straight CSAC title for Gwynedd-Mercy.

Cabrini finishes the 2010 regular season with a 15-3 overall record.
