RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's tennis team resumed its non-conference regular season schedule this afternoon at the Dixon Courts, hosting Centennial Conference foe Ursinus College. The Bears earned a 9-0 victory versus the Cavaliers.
Cabrini found itself in an early hole, trailing 3-0 following doubles competition. Sophomores Walter Jesuncosky and Justin Lutteroty played at the No. 1 position, suffering an 8-1 loss versus Kevin Dean and Sean Kelley.
Senior Andrew Golden and sophomore Jake Neary dropped an 8-0 decision in the No. 2 spot against Nick Rall and Jason Zerbe. Junior Joseph Stafford and freshman Shane McKeon lost at the No. 3 position, 8-0, versus Kyle Davis and Matt Surman.
Jesuncosky played at the No. 1 spot in singles play, suffering a 6-0, 6-1 loss versus Dean. Kelley downed Lutteroty in the No. 2 position, 6-0, 6-1.
Neary dropped a 6-0 decision in the first set against Zerbe before battling to a 6-4 loss in the second set at the No. 3 spot. McKeon suffered a 6-0, 6-4 setback at the No. 4 position against Josh Hollaman.
Golden fell 6-0, 6-0 at No. 5 against Rall, while Davis topped Stafford in the No. 6 hole, 6-0, 6-1.
Cabrini (0-7, 0-4) continues its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) slate at Keystone College on Wednesday, April 14 at 3 p.m.
