Men's Tennis Falls at Alvernia University

The Cabrini men's tennis team resumes its CSAC regular season schedule on Thursday at home against Rosemont College.

The Cabrini men's tennis team played its final non-conference opponent of the regular season on Monday afternoon, traveling to Middle Atlantic Conference foe Alvernia University. The Crusaders swept doubles competition en route to a 9-0 win against the Cavaliers.

Senior Andrew Golden and junior Joseph Stafford dropped an 8-2 decision in doubles play at the No. 2 position against Ryan Lineaweaver and Zachary Marzar. Sophomores Walter Jesuncosky and Jake Neary suffered an 8-1 setback at No. 1 versus Zach Lockwood and Jed Spangler.

In singles play, Neary fell at the No. 2 spot, 6-1, 6-1, against Lineaweaver. Golden dropped a 6-2, 6-0 match in the No. 4 position against Aaron Dearstyne.

Freshmen Shane McKeon and Joshua Whearry each suffered 6-0, 6-1 losses in the No. 3 and 6 positions.

Cabrini (0-9, 0-5) resumes its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) schedule on Thursday, April 22 at home versus Rosemont College. Match time against the Ravens is set for 3:30 p.m.
