RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's tennis team concluded its 2010 season on Saturday afternoon against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Immaculata University. The Mighty Macs earned a 9-0 win against the Cavaliers.
Immaculata jumped out to a 3-0 advantage with a sweep in doubles competition. Junior Joseph Stafford and sophomore Justin Lutteroty battled to an 8-6 loss for the Blue & White in the No. 2 position against Eric Schmidt and Demetrios Vlahos.
Sophomores Walter Jesuncosky and Jake Neary suffered a narrow 8-5 loss in the No. 1 spot versus David Harlan and Nick Tarlecki.
In singles play, Jesuncosky dropped a three-set decision in the No. 1 position against Tarlecki, falling 4-6, 7-5, 10-9. Senior Andrew Golden also went three sets before suffering a 4-6, 6-4, 10-4 loss in the No. 5 spot against Mike Pancoast.
Lutteroty dropped a 6-3, 6-0 match in the No. 2 position versus Harlan. Neary landed on the wrong end of a 6-3, 6-2 decision in the No. 3 hole against Vlahos.
Freshman Shane McKeon lost in the No. 4 spot, 6-2, 6-1, against Schmidt.
The Cabrini men's tennis team wraps up the 2010 season with a 1-10 record overall and 1-6 mark in CSAC competition.
