Women's Tennis Remains Unbeaten, Sweeps Keystone College, 9-0

Freshman Adriana Scotto earned two wins in Cabrini's 9-0 victory at Keystone College on Saturday.

LA PLUME, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's tennis team pushed its unbeaten streak to begin the 2010 campaign to five matches with a resounding 9-0 win at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Keystone College on Saturday afternoon. Junior Michelle Lettmann improved her singles mark to a perfect 5-0 in the victory.

Lettmann notched an emphatic 6-0, 6-0 win at the No. 5 position versus Courtney Lance. Lettmann also teamed with doubles partner freshman Victoria Nastala for an 8-0 victory at the No. 3 spot against Lance and Carissa Iyoob.

Junior Alexis DiCamillo, sophomore Gabriela Durand and freshman Katie Kennedy each logged their fourth singles wins of the season against the Giants.

DiCamillo posted a 6-0, 6-0 triumph at the No. 3 position versus Delanie Schaepe. Durand earned a 6-2, 6-2 win in the No. 2 hole against Heather Godino.

Kennedy recorded a 6-1, 6-0 win in the lead-off spot versus Shiloh Richner. Kennedy and Durand tallied an 8-0 decision in the No. 1 position in doubles action against Richner and Godino.

Freshman Adriana Scotto collected a 6-1, 6-0 win in singles play versus Xin-rui Zhau at the No. 4 spot. Scotto and DiCamillo posted an 8-0 in doubles play at No. 2 against Schaepe and Zhau.

Cabrini (5-0, 3-0) resumes its non-conference schedule on the road against Arcadia University on Monday, Sept. 13. Match time with the Knights is set for 3:30 p.m.
