HAVERFORD, Pa. – The Cabrini women's tennis team suffered its first loss of the 2010 regular season, dropping a 9-0 decision against Centennial Conference foe Haverford College on Wednesday afternoon.
The Fords jumped out to a 3-0 match advantage with a sweep in doubles competition. Junior Alexis DiCamillo and freshman Adriana Scotto dropped an 8-3 decision in the No. 2 position against Haverford's Katie Drooyan and Kate Donches.
Freshman Katie Kennedy battled to a 6-3, 6-4 setback in the No. 1 spot against Katie Wettick. Junior Michelle Lettmann dropped her first singles match of the season, suffering a 6-2, 6-4 loss at the No. 4 position versus Drooyan.
Scotto endured a 6-2, 6-1 loss at No. 5 against Donches and freshman Victoria Nastala dropped a 6-3, 6-1 decision at the No. 6 spot versus Celia Tong.
Cabrini (6-1, 3-0) returns to the Dixon Courts for a date with Lebanon Valley College on Saturday, Sept. 18. Match time with the Dutchwomen is set for 12 p.m.
