RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's tennis team claimed its fifth victory versus a Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent in its last six outings with a 9-0 victory versus Baptist Bible College on Wednesday afternoon at the Dixon Courts.
The Cavaliers raced to a 3-0 match advantage with a sweep in doubles action. Junior Alexis DiCamillo and freshman Katie Kennedy set the tone with an 8-0 win at the No. 1 position against Kellie Bernard and Julie Herr.
Sophomore Gabriela Durand and freshman Adriana Scotto posted an 8-3 victory at the No. 2 spot versus Katie Boger and Sarah Salzmann. Junior Michelle Lettmann and freshman Victoria Nastala won at the No. 3 position against Cassy Labaw and Rebecca Wagner.
Durand and DiCamillo each captured their 10th wins of the season in singles play. Durand notched a 6-0, 6-4 win at the No. 2 position and DiCamillo totaled a 6-1, 6-1 in the No. 3 hole.
Lettmann has recorded nine singles victories on the season following a 6-0, 6-2 triumph at the No. 4 spot against Salzmann. Kennedy earned her eighth win with a 6-1, 6-1 victory at the No. 1 position against Boger.
Scotto also reached the eight-win plateau, downing Wagner, 6-0, 6-1, at the No. 5 match. Nastala claimed her seventh win of the season with a 6-0, 6-0 decision at No. 6 against Labaw.
Cabrini (10-2, 5-1) returns to the road against CSAC opponent Rosemont College on Saturday, Oct. 2. Match time against the Ravens is set for 12 p.m.
