The Cabrini women's tennis team remains unbeaten in 2010 following a 6-3 victory on Tuesday afternoon at the Dixon Courts against Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Marywood University. The Cavaliers claimed two doubles matches before taking the top four singles contests en route to the win.
Sophomore Gabriela Durand and freshman Katie Kennedy led Cabrini in doubles play at the No. 1 spot, downing Ashley Karli and Caili Nizamis, 8-3. Junior Alexis DiCamillo and freshman Adriana Scotto notched an 8-6 win at the No. 2 position versus Kara Hoff and Melissa Hudock.
Kennedy cruised at the No. 1 spot in singles competition, besting Karli, 6-2, 6-1. Earlier Monday, Kennedy was named to the CSAC Honor Roll for her performance last week versus Richard Stockton College on Sept. 1 and Neumann University on Sept. 4.
DiCamillo earned a 6-3, 6-4 decision at the No. 3 position against Hoff. Junior Michelle Lettmann posted a 6-2, 6-1 triumph in the No. 4 hole versus Hudock.
Durand capped the Blue & White's singles effort, battling to a 6-4, 4-6, 6-0 win against Nizamis.
Cabrini (3-0, 2-0) resumes its non-conference schedule on the road against Division II Philadelphia University on Thursday, Sept. 9. Match time against the Rams is set for 4 p.m.
