RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's tennis team continued their winning ways today with an 8-1 win over the visiting Immaculata University Mighty Macs at the Dixon Courts. The win improves the Cavaliers' record to 10-0 overall and 7-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Cabrini got off to a great start, sweeping the doubles matches. The Cavaliers' teams of
Alexis DiCamillo and
Katie Kennedy (#1),
Adriana Scotto and
Samantha Trumbo (#2), and
Michelle Lettmann and
Victoria Nastala (#3) swept the matches by a combined score of 24-1.
Kennedy (#1), Lettmann (#3), Scotto (#4), and Trumbo (#5) remained undefeated in singles play. Kennedy, Lettman, and Scotto each won their matches with 6-0, 6-0 scores. Trumbo triumphed 6-0, 6-4. At number two singles, DiCamillo improved to 8-2 with her 6-4, 6-2 victory.
With the match already clinched, Nastala dropped her pro set by a score of 8-6.
The Cavaliers will welcome College of Notre Dame to the Dixon Courts on Friday. First serve is scheduled for 3:30 p.m.
