Women's Tennis Sweeps Notre Dame to Remain Unbeaten

Cavaliers improve to 11-0 with today's win over College of Notre Dame (Md.)

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini College women's tennis team remained undefeated with today's 9-0 victory over the visiting College of Notre Dame (Md.) Gators at the Dixon Courts.  The win improved the Cavaliers record to 11-0 and 8-0 in the CSAC.

Cabrini made a few changes in its doubles line-up for today's match.  At number one doubles, sophomores Katie Kennedy teamed with Adriana Scotto for an 8-4 win.  Senior Alexis DiCamillo and freshman Samantha Trumbo paired for an 8-0 shutout at number two doubles.  Cabrini's third duo, senior Michelle Lettmann and sophomore Victoria Nastala recorded an 8-1 victory.

The Cavaliers continued their roll in the singles matches.  Kennedy, at number one singles tallied another victory 6-1, 6-1.  Cabrini's number two singles player, DiCamillo fought through a tough 6-4 first set before taking the second 6-2.

Lettmann won the number three match 6-2, 6-0.  Scotto and Trumbo swept through the four and five singles matches with 6-0, 6-0 scores.  Nastala took the number six match by default.

The Cavaliers will travel to Scranton, Pa. on Saturday to face the Marywood University Pacers at 1:00 p.m.
