ROSEMONT, Pa. - The Cabrini men's tennis has won two straight matches following a comfortable 8-1 victory at Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) opponent Rosemont College on Tuesday afternoon. For the second match in two days, the Cavaliers swept each of the three doubles contests en route to the win.
Juniors
Justin Lutteroty and
Ian Monson knocked off Ron Vogelei and Patrick McElroy at the No. 1 position, 8-4. Juniors
Nate Martin and
Walter Jesuncosky earned an 8-5 win at the No. 2 match versus Tom Bottoms and Ryan McElroy.
Senior
Joe Stafford and junior
Jake Neary claimed a convincing 8-0 triumph at the No. 3 doubles match against Dan Gershman and Jairo Colon.
Monson cruised to a 6-4, 6-1 win at the No. 1 match in singles play against Vogelei. Martin posted a 6-4, 7-5 victory at the No. 2 position versus Bottoms.
Lutteroty downed Ryan McElroy at the No. 4 position, 6-3, 6-2. Neary (6-1, 6-3) and Stafford (6-1, 6-1) coasted to victories at the No. 5 and No. 6 matches, respectively, versus Gershman and Colon.
Cabrini (4-11, 3-2 CSAC) continues the final week of the regular season at home against CSAC opponent Gwynedd-Mercy College on Wednesday, April 27. Match time against the Griffins is set for 3:30 p.m.
