RADNOR, Pa. - The Cabrini tennis team returned to the Dixon Courts on Thursday afternoon against backyard rival Eastern University. The Eagles swept doubles play before closing out the match in singles action, downing the Cavaliers, 8-1.

Jake Neary salvaged the lone point for Cabrini, topping Ryan Dykstra at the No. 6 singles match. Neary rallied for his first singles win of the season after dropping the first set in a tie-breaker.
Neary evened the match with 6-0 triumph in the second set and clinched the victory with an 11-9 win in the super tie-breaker.
Eastern jumped out to a 3-0 match lead after a pair of 8-1 victories and an 8-6 win in doubles play. The Eagles toppled the Cavaliers in each of the first five singles contests.
Cabrini (2-7) resumes its Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) regular season schedule at home against Keystone College on Saturday, April 9. Match time against the Giants is set for 12 p.m.
