SWARTHMORE, Pa. – After 10 events on Day One of the Swarthmore College Invitational, the Cabrini College men's swim team finds itself in 5th place. With 82 points, the Blue and White trails Rowan, Swarthmore, Ocean City and Lycoming.
The Cavaliers' relay teams opened and closed the night with solid performances. The team of
Sean Tallon,
Nick Platt,
Chris Ryan and Rocco Del Monte opened the event with a fourth place finish in the 200-yard freestyle relay, with a time of 1:39.16.
Cabrini ended the night with a third place effort in the 400-yard medley relay from the team of Platt,
Evan Strickland, Del Monte and
Keith Marr. The group posted a time of 3:58.03.
Strickland also recorded a third place finish in the 50-yard freestyle, reaching the wall in 27.47 seconds.
Marr finished 16th in the 50-yard freestyle, with a time of 5:21.92, while Ryan added a 15th place finish in the 200-yard individual medley in 2:22.85
The Blue and White will return to Swarthmore on Saturday for two sessions to complete the invitational. The morning session is scheduled to begin at 9:30 a.m.
