The Cabrini College men's tennis team posted its first victory of the year on Friday, a 5-4 win at Baptist Bible.  The Cavaliers tallied four singles victories in improving their record to 1-7 on the season.

Cabrini notched just one doubles win as senior Nate Martin and junior Ryan Juhring won the number three match 8-5.  In a tight match at number two doubles, seniors Ian Monson and Justin Lutteroty pushed the match to an extra game, eventually falling 9-7.  The Blue and White trailed 2-1 after the doubles matches.

After dropping numbers one and two in the singles competition, the Cavaliers rallied to take the final four matches of the day to clinch the win.  Senior Walter Jesuncosky triumphed at number three singles with a 6-0, 6-2 victory.  At number four, Martin dropped the first set 4-6 before rallying to take the match 6-2 and 6-1 in the third set.

Lutteroty garnered his team-leading third singles win of the season with a 6-3, 6-4 win in the number five singles slot.  Juhring improved to 2-1 in his number six singles matches with a 6-4, 6-2 straight set win.

The Cavaliers will return to the court on Tuesday when they welcome Immaculata University to the Cabrini Courts.  First serve is scheduled for 4:00 p.m.
