RANDOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's tennis team suffered its first Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) loss today, falling to Marywood University 8-1. The Cavaliers fell to 6-1 in the CSAC and secured the second seed in next week's conference tournament.
The Blue and White struggled in the three doubles matches, losing all three by matching 8-1 scores.
In the singles matches, only senior
Nate Martin served up a victory, taking his number four singles match 6-2, 3-6, 6-3. With the win, Martin closes his regular season 7-0 in CSAC singles matches.
The Cavaliers will return to the court on Friday when they face an opponent yet to be determined in the CSAC semifinal.
The CSAC tournament will take place at Northwood Racquet Club in Easton, Pa. The semifinal rounds will be played on Friday, with the championship on Saturday.
