EASTON, Pa. –
The 2012 Cabrini College men's tennis season came to an end today, after the Cavaliers came out on the short side of a thrilling match against Baptist Bible College in the semifinal round of the Colonial States Athletic Conference (CSAC) tournament.

Cabrini's 5-4 loss ends their year with an overall record of 6-14.

The Blue and White posted a pair of wins in doubles action.

The Cavaliers' number two pair of seniors Ian Monson and Justin Lutteroty won a tiebreaker 7-5 to take their match 9-8.

At number three doubles, senior Nate Martin and junior Ryan Juhring improved to 7-1 on the year with an 8-3 victory.

The Cavaliers took a 2-1 lead into singles play but each match would prove to be pivotal.

Cabrini took four of the six singles matches in the clubs' previous meeting.   A duplicate effort would send the Cavaliers to Saturday's championship match.

Unfortunately, the Blue and White could only secure a pair of singles wins.

Martin closed his senior campaign unbeaten against CSAC competition with his 6-1, 6-2 win at number four singles.

In the number six slot, Juhring improved to 9-3 in is first season of collegiate tennis after posting a 6-2, 6-2 win.

Monson and Lutteroty suffered tight three set losses, each falling 6-2 in the third set.

Today's loss marks the end of the careers for the Cavaliers' five seniors, Walter Jesuncosky, Lutteroty, Martin, Monson and Jake Neary

The group led the Blue and White to a 15-12 record in  CSAC competition and three CSAC tournament appearances.
