IMMACULATA, Pa. –
The Cabrini College women's tennis team rebounded from last week's loss to Richard Stockton College in a big way today at Immaculata University.  The Cavaliers topped the mighty Macs 8-1 to improve to 3-3 overall and 3-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

The Blue and White opened the match by securing two of the three doubles matches.  Junior Katie Kennedy and freshman Nicole Broccolino improved to 4-0 in conference doubles play with their 8-0 win at number one.  At the number three flight, freshmen Mia Scocozzo and Mackenzie Murray posted an 8-1 victory, their second of the season.

With a 2-1 lead entering singles play, the Blue and White took control of the match.  Cabrini swept all six singles matches, five in straight sets.

At number one, Kennedy stayed perfect on the season with a 6-1, 6-1 win.  Sophomore Samantha Trumbo evened her record at 3-3 with a 6-0, 6-3 win at number two singles.

Broccolino improved to 4-1 in the CSAC and captured her first win at #3 singles with her 6-1, 6-2 triumph.  Junior Victoria Nastala forced a third set in her #4 flight match, taking the final pair of sets 6-2, 10-2.

Like Trumbo, Scocozzo evened her season mark at 3-3 with her 6-3, 6-1 victory at number five singles.  Murray secured her fourth singles victory of the season with today's 6-1, 6-0 win at number six singles.
