RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini College women's tennis team fell below the .500 mark today after dropping a nonconference match to Lebanon Valley College at the Dixon Courts. The Blue and White now stand at 4-5 on the season.
The Dutchmen posted victories in all three doubles matches as the Cavaliers debuted two new pairings. Junior
Katie Kennedy and sophomore
Samantha Trumbo lost 8-6 at number one doubles in their first pairing this season.
Junior
Victoria Nastala and freshman Kaitlyn Zinkewich made their debut at #2 doubles, falling 8-0. Cabrini's freshmen pair of
Mia Scocozzo and
Mackenzie Murray dropped to 3-2 on the season after their 8-1 defeat.
Kennedy improved to 8-0 on the season at #1 singles, posting another dominant 6-1, 6-0 victory. Kennedy has allowed just six points in her last five matches.
The Dutchmen proved to be too much for the Cavaliers in the other five singles matches as the Blue and White secured just five points in those five matches.
Cabrini will return to CSAC competition on Saturday as the ladies travel to Rosemont College for a 12:00 p.m. match.
