CHESTER, Pa. – The Cabrini College men's swim team opened its 2013 schedule with a 107-61 loss at Widener University in Chester, Pa. The loss drops the Cavaliers to 4-6 on the season.
Sophomore
Evan Strickland led the Blue and White with a victory in the 50-yard freestyle (22.43) and a second place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (5:17.09). Junior Rocco Del Monte recorded a pair of second place finishes with a 2:18.61 in the 200-yard individual medley and 54.13 in the 100-yard freestyle.

Keith Marr added a pair of top three finishes for the Cavaliers. The junior placed second in the 200-yad freestyle in 1:54.34, just ahead of freshman
Sean Tallon, and third in the 500-yard freestyle (5:23.54) behind Strickland.
Junior
Tim McCann finished second in the 1,000-yard freestyle (11:35.39), while freshman
Chris Ryan placed second in the 100-yard butterfly (1:04.53). Sophomores
Cody Kunze recorded a third place finish in the 100-yard freestyle (1:03.21) and
Nick Platt finished third in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.49).
The Cavaliers will return to action on Sunday as they visit Marywood University. The first event is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
