SCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini men's swim team fell to 4-7 on the season after today's 156-83 loss at Marywood University. Today's Cabrini performance featured a triple winner and a school record.
Evan Strickland dominated the pool, capturing three wins. The sophomore won the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:04.52. Strickland also secured victories in the 100-yard freestyle (50.26) and 100-yard butterfly (57.20).
Junior
Keith Marr recorded a pair of second pace finishes on the day. Marr placed second in the 50-yard freestyle, with a time of 23.74. He also reached the wall in the 100-yard freestyle just behind Strickland in 51.54.
Fellow junior Rocco Del Monte added a pair of third place finishes today in the 200-yard freestyle (1:58.21) and the 50-yard freestyle (25.00) just behind Marr.
Freshman
Sean Tallon broke his own school record in the 1,000-yard freestyle, recording a time of 11:30.55 to finish fourth.
The Blue and White will return to action on Saturday when they welcome Ursinus College to the Dixon Center Pool The action is scheduled to begin at 1:00 p.m.
