Men's Swimming Stumbles Against Ursinus

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini College men's swim team stumbled today against the Ursinus College Bears, falling 107-59 today at the Dixon Center Pool.  The loss drops the Blue and White to 4-8 on the season.

Freshman Sean Tallon led the Cavaliers with a victory in the 500-yard freestyle, reaching the wall in 5:25.10.  The rookie also finished second in the 1,650-yard
freestyle with a time of 19:17.45, just ahead of junior Tim McCann.

Sophomore Evan Strickland continued his solid second season, recording a victory in the 200-yuard individual medley with a time of 2:06.28.  

The duo of juniors Rocco Del Monte and Keith Marr added second place finishes on the day.  Del Monte's came in the 200-yard butterfly, which he completed in 2:15.18.  Marr placed second in the 200-yard freestyle, with a time of 1:53.64.

The team of Sophomore Nick Platt, Strickland, Del Monte and Marr also placed second in the 400-yard medley relay, posting a time of 3:54.87.

Combined, the Cabrini men's and women's swim teams achieved 13 personal bests on the day.

The Blue and White will return to action on Saturday, January 26 when they visit Swarthmore College.  The action is slated to begin at 2:00 p.m.
