GWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. – The Cabrini women's tennis team fell just short of its bid to hand Gwynedd Mercy Unversity its first CSAC loss of the season.  The Cavaliers 5-4 loss drops the club to 8-5 overall and 7-2 in conference play with one regular season match remaining.

The Blue and White fell behind early, as the Griffins captured two of the three doubles matches.  Junior Samantha Trumbo and freshman Elena Conway teamed to score an 8-3 victory at number two doubles.

The clubs then split the six singles matches.  Trumbo triumphed at number three singles, earning a 6-3. 6-4 win.  Conway was also a double winner on the day, scoring a 6-3, 6-2 win in the number four slot.  Sophomore Mackenzie Murray added a victory in her number five singles match, 6-3, 6-4.

The Cavaliers will return to action on Saturday, as they visit Baptist Bible College in Clarks Summit, Pa.  First serve is scheduled for 1:00 p.m.
