RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's tennis team collected its first Colonial States Athletic Conference victory of the season with today's 8-1 win over Keystone College at the Cabrini courts. The victory improves the Blue and White to 1-3 in the conference and 2-10 overall.
The Cavaliers got off to a great start, as they collected all three doubles wins. Cabrini's No. 1 doubles team of senior Ryan Juhring and sophomore Anthony DiCicco improved to 5-2 on the year with an 8-2 win. In their first ever match together, senior Ian Monson and freshman Colin Kilroy scored an 8-2 victory. At No. 3 doubles, senior Nate Krieger teamed with junior Joe Halbherr for an 8-3 win, the duo's second of the season.
The Blue and White continued its solid play in the singles matches, capturing five of the six points. DiCicco controlled the No. 2 flight match, scoring a 6-0, 6-0 win, snapping a three match losing streak. Juhring also snapped a three match losing skid with his 6-0, 6-1 victory at No. 3 singles.
Krieger posted his first career singles victory with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 4 singles. Kilroy and Halbherr joined Krieger with their first career wins today, posting 8-6 and 8-3 victories, respectively.
The Blue and White will return to action on Tuesday when they visit Division II Philadelphia University. First serve is slated for 4:00 p.m.
