Men's Tennis Soars over Ravens

ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Cabrini men's tennis team posted its second consecutive Colonial States Athletic Conference victory today, topping Rosemont College 7-2 today.  The victory improves the Cavaliers to 2-3 in the league and 3-10 overall.

The Blue and White got off on the right foot, winning the three doubles matches.  Senior Ian Monson and freshman Colin Kilroy teamed for just the second time this season and secured an 8-0 win at No. 1 doubles. 

The duo of senior Ryan Juhring and sophomore Anthony DiCicco improved to 6-2 on the year with today's 8-0 win at No. 2 doubled.  In the no. 3 match, senior Nate Krieger and junior Joe Halbherr secured an 8-3 victory, evening their record at 2-2.

The Cavaliers continued their solid play into the singles matches, where they won four of the six points to seal the victory.  Monson snapped a five match skid with a dominant 6-0, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles.  DiCicco improved to 6-3 this spring at No. 2 singles with today's 6-1, 6-3 win.

Juhring was equally impressive at No. 2 singles, capturing the 6-1, 6-0 victory, his third of the season. Halberr added his second career victory, a 6-0, 6-1 win at no. 6 singles.

The Cavaliers will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to Division II Philadelphia University to face the Rams.  First serve is slated for 4 p.m.
