Box Score

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini College women's tennis team extended its win streak to five matches, while improving to 4-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.   The Cavaliers opened Homecoming weekend with a 7-2 win over Immaculata University today at the Dixon Tennis Courts.

The Blue and White jumped out to an early lead, claiming victory in two of the three doubles matches.  At first doubles, senior Katie Kennedy and sophomore Nicole Broccolino improved to 7-0 with their 8-3 win.  Junior Samantha Trumbo paired with freshman Elena Conway for the first time and scored an 8-5 win at number two doubles.

Cabrini's solid play continued into the singles matches, five of which the Cavaliers won.  Kennedy remained perfect at number one singles with a 6-0, 6-2 victory.  Broccolino claimed her fourth win of 2013 with a 6-1, 6-2 win at second singles.

Trumbo extended her singles win streak to six matches with today's 6-1, 6-1 triumph at number three singles.  Likewise, sophomore Mackenzie Murray earned her fifth consecutive win, posting an 8-3 superset win at number five singles.  Senior Victoria Nastala went to three sets before earning a 6-3, 4-6, 6-1 win at number six singles, her fourth of the year.

The Cavaliers have little time to relax, as they host Keystone College (4-5, 3-2 CSAC) on Saturday.  First serve is slated for 12 p.m. at the Dixon Tennis Courts.
