Women's Tennis Extends Win Steak to Six with 9-0 Victory

RADNOR, Pa. –
The Cabrini women's tennis team continued its run of solid play today, as it won its sixth consecutive match.  The Cavaliers improved to 6-2 on the season and 5-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with a 9-0 win over Keystone College at the Dixon Courts.

The Blue and White claimed victory in the two doubles matches that were played.  Senior Katie Kennedy and sophomore Nicole Broccolino remained unbeaten at number on doubles with an 8-3 win.  Junior Samantha Trumbo and freshman Elena Conway won their sixth consecutive match with today's 8-0 victory.

The Blue and White continued its dominance in the singles matches.  Kennedy improved to 42-7 in her career with today's 6-1, 6-0 win at number one singles.  Trumbo won her seventh consecutive single match with a 6-0, 6-4 win at number two singles.  

At number three singles, Conway improved to 5-3 on the season after today's 6-0, 6-1 win.  Sophomore Mackenzie Murray extended her win streak to six matches with her 6-3, 6-0 win at number four singles.   Senior Victoria Nastala improved to 5-2 with a shutout 6-0, 6-0 win at number five singles.

Cabrini also earned points at number three double and number six singles by default.

The Cavaliers will put their streak on the line on Monday when they step out of conference play to visit Alvernia University.  First serve is slated for 4:00 p.m. in Reading, Pa.
