The opening 20 minutes proved to be a defensive battle as neither team could secure the momentum in the early going. The Blue and White used an 11-2 spurt over a seven minute span late in the first half to build a 24-17 lead.
The Aggies responded with a 9-1 run of its own to close the half with a slim 26-25 advantage.
The Delaware Valley lead grew to three points early in the second half, before two Peterson jumpers keyed a 7-0 Cabrini run to give the Cavaliers the lead for good.
A Decker lay-up with 4:43 to play extended the Blue and White lead to a game high 51-40.
The Cavaliers will return to action on Tuesday, when they welcome Albright College (2-1) to Nerney Field House. Tipoff is slated for 6:30 p.m.
