View Day Two Results
GROVE CITY, Pa. – With two days and 26 events in the books, the Cabrini swim teams remain in the same position they started the day. The women extended their first pace lead, while the men are in fourth.
The women claimed three championships today as they closed the night with 156 points, 39 more than second place Franciscan. Penn State Behrend's 97 points are good for third, while Penn State Altoona and Pitt-Bradford have 84 and 73, respectively.
The men posted four top three finishes in day two, but remain in fourth place with 70 points. Penn State Behrend leads the men's meet with 166 points, 13 more than Penn State Altoona. Pitt-Bradford in is in third place with 97 points.
Just like yesterday, the Cavaliers' women opened with a victory in the 200 yard medley relay. The quartet of junior

Breaghann Smith posted a winning time of 1:59.49.
Good recorded a time of 5:17.39 to score a second place finish in the 400 yard individual medley. Griffith also recorded a third place finish in the 100 yard backstroke, reaching the wall in 1:03.43.
Freshman
Christina Melchiorre recorded her second individual championship with a victory in the 200 yard freestyle. Not only did her time of 2:01.06 break her own school record by nearly two seconds, the rookie also broke the AMCC Championship record by nearly one second. Smith added a third place finish in the event with a time of 2:08.83.
The ladies closed the night with another record setting performance in the 800 yard freestyle relay. The team of Smith, freshman

Elyse Phillips and Melchiorre placed first in the relay with a time of 8:40.0. Their winning time was 6.4 seconds faster than the previous school record set at last year's championship meet.
Junior
Evan Strickland led the Blue and White men, winning the 100 yard butterfly in a time of 52.9 seconds. Freshman
Todd Walker scored a second place finish in the 100 yard backstroke with a new school record time of 57.42 seconds. Fellow rookie
Hassan David Goines Jr. added a third place finish in the 400 yard individual medley, posting a time of 4:45.39.
The men closed the night with record setting, second place performance in the 800 yard freestyle relay. The quartet of freshman
Bobby Schmidt, Goines, Strickland and Walker posted a time of 7:29.86, breaking the previous record by five seconds.
The Cavaliers will look to close out the three day event on a high note in tomorrow's final sessions. The action is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m.
