RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's tennis team took to the Dixon Courts for the first time this season, falling short against four-time defending CSAC champion Marywood University. The 6-3 loss dropped the Cavaliers to 0-4 on the year and 0-1 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
The Blue and White fell behind early, securing just one of the three doubles matches. Juniors Anthony DiCiccio and
Sean Neary teamed for an 8-4 win at number one doubles. Sophomore
Colin Kilroy and freshman
Joe Pacifico suffered an 8-3 loss in the second doubles match. Senior
Joe Halbherr teamed with freshman
Mike Halbherr in the third flight match, which the brothers lost 9-7.
The Cavaliers managed just two victories in the day's six singles matches. DiCiccio scored a 7-5, 6-4 win at number two singles, while Neary posted a 6-1, 6-3 win at number three singles.
Cabrini will return to action on Tuesday, as it crosses Eagle Road to face local rival Eastern University (2-3). First serve is scheduled for 3:00 p.m.
