RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's tennis scored its second consecutive victory today, as the Cavaliers downed Bryn Athyn College 9-0 at the Dixon Courts. The nonconference victory improved the Blue and White to 2-10 on the year.
The Blue and White jumped out to an early lead, as it dominated the three doubles matches. Junior
Anthony DiCicco and
Sean Neary improved to 5-4 with their 8-0 win at number one doubles. Cabrini's number two doubles team of sophomore
Colin Kilroy and freshman
Joe Pacifico also scored an 8-0 win for their third win of the year. Brothers Joe and
Mike Halbherr completed the doubles sweep with an 8-4 victory at number three doubles.
Cabrini's solid play continued as the action moved to the singles matches. DiCicco scored his fifth victory of the year, a 6-3, 6-1 victory at number one singles. Pacifico's fourth victory of the year came in a 6-0, 6-0 victory at number two singles.
Neary won his team leading sixth single match, an 8-0 superset victory at number three singles. Kilroy posted his second consecutive win at number four singles, a 6-0, 6-2 triumph. Senior
Joe Halbherr matched Kilroy's two victories with a 6-4, 7-5 win in the number five flight, while freshman
Mike Halbherr earned an 8-3 superset win at number six singles.
The Cavaliers will look for a third straight win on Tuesday, when they visit Penn State Brandywine (4-2). First serve is slated for 3:30 p.m. in Media, Pa.
