BALTIMORE, Md. - The Cabrini women's tennis team made the journey to Baltimore, Md. today where it faced Notre Dame (Md.) University. The Cavaliers improved to 7-3 overall and 5-0 in the CSAC following today's 9-0 victory against the Gators.
The Blue and White took all three doubles matches in straight sets. Juniors
Terra McHenry and
Tori Yeich improved to 5-2 on the season following their 8-0 number one doubles win. Senior
Samantha Trumbo paired with sophomore
Elena Conway to earn their sixth win as a doubles team. Junior
Nicole Broccolino and freshmen
Maggie Javitt also earned their sixth win of the season after an 8-0 number three doubles win.
Cabrini continued their success over to singles play where they won all six matches in straight sets. McHenry was able to keep the ball rolling for the Cavaliers, as she won her number one singles match by a score of 6-3, 6-0. Trumbo followed up with a 6-0, 6-0 number two singles victory. Yeich moved to 6-2 on the year after she defeated her opponent in number three singles play, 6-0, 6-1. Broccolino, Conway, and Javitt also won their number 4, 5, and 6 singles matches in straight sets, respectively.
The Cavaliers will welcome Cairn University (1-6, 1-2 CSAC) to the Dixon Courts tomorrow for Homecoming weekend. First serve is scheduled for 12 p.m.
