ROSEMONT, Pa. – The Cabrini women's soccer stayed perfect in the Colonial States Athletic Conference with today's 1-0 victory at Rosemont College. With the victory, the Cavaliers improve to 4-5-1 overall and 4-0 in conference play.
The Cavaliers dominated the run of play in today's win, outshooting the Ravens 15-1. The Blue and White also earned eight corner kicks to just one for Rosemont.
Despite the shooting advantage, senior
Devon Miller notched the game's only goal in the 26th minute, as she slotted the ball just past the goalkeeper.
While Cabrini's offense controlled the flow of the game, the Blue and White defense stymied Rosemont, as it held the Ravens without a shot for the 75 minutes of action.
Sophomore
Lisette Hrapmann led Cabrini with five shots on the day, while sophomore
Taylor Tralie added two.
Sophomore goaltender
Alivia Dietsch saved the only shot she saw to secure her first shutout of the season.
Goaltender Jenna Kaiser made five saves for Rosemont (4-8, 3-3 CSAC) in relief of starter Andre Dossantos.
The Cavaliers will head to Scranton, Pa. on Tuesday to face Marywood University (5-5-2, 4-1-1). Kickoff is scheduled for 4p.m.
