Box ScoreSCRANTON, Pa. – The Cabrini women's tennis team suffered its first Colonial States Athletic Conference loss of the season today, falling 6-3 to Marywood. The loss drops the Blue and White to 5-5 on the year and 4-1 in the CSAC.
The Pacers jumped out early, winning all three doubles matches. The Blue and White suffered a pair of tough 9-7 results in the numbers one and three doubles matches.
The Cavaliers didn't back down easy though, as they captured victories in numbers one, two and three singles matches, before falling in the final three.
Senior
Terra McHenry notched her fourth number one singles victory on the year, topping her opponent 6-1, 5-7, 6-1. Fellow senior
Nicole Broccolino scored a 6-0, 6-4 number two singles win, while junior
Elena Conway followed with a 6-4, 6-3 victory at number three singles.
The Cavaliers are back in action tomorrow, as the team hosts Keystone (4-4, 3-3 CSAC) at the Radnor Racquet Club in Radnor, Pa. The match is set to begin at 12 p.m.
