Box ScoreGWYNEDD VALLEY, Pa. - The Cabrini women's tennis team stumbled tonight, falling 8-1 to Gwynedd Mercy, en route to its second conference loss this season. The Cavaliers fell to 6-6 on the year and 5-2 in the CSAC. The Griffins took the first two doubles matches but sophomores Stefanie Barkofski and Maggie Javitt paired to earn an 8-4 number three doubles victory.
In singles play, the Griffins scored wins in all six matches. Senior Terra McHenry put up a fight in number one singles, before falling 6-4, 4-6, 6-3. Javitt's number five singles match also went three sets, as the senior fell 7-6, 5-7, 10-8.
The Blue and White will have little time to rest, as it hosts Notre Dame of Maryland (4-2, 3-2 CSAC)tomorrow at the Dixon Courts. The match is set to begin at 3:30 p.m.
