McHenry, Conway Lead Women's Tennis to 6-3 Win

RADNOR, Pa. – Despite a last minute venue change, the Cavaliers prevailed, topping Notre Dame of Maryland 6-3. The Blue and White earned its sixth league win on the year, as the team improved to 7-6 overall and 6-2 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.

Senior Terra McHenry and junior Elena Conway earned their fourth number one doubles conference win this season, as the duo scored an 8-0 victory.  Down 1-0, the Gators shifted the momentum, winning the next two doubles matches.

The Cavaliers regained their composure in singles play, taking five of six matches. McHenry and fellow senior Nicole Broccolino won their number one and two singles matches in straight sets, while Conway followed with a 6-3, 6-3 number three singles victory.

Senior Tori Yeich and sophomore Maggie Javitt closed the door on the Gators, as each earned 6-0, 6-2 victories in their numbers four and five singles matches, respectively.

The Blue and White hosts Philadelphia University (5-2, 2-2 CACC) on Tuesday for a 3:30 p.m. match at Dixon Courts.
