MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – The Cabrini men's soccer team saw its 2015 campaign come to an end tonight, as the Cavaliers suffered a 3-1 loss at Morrisville State College in the opening round of the NCAA Tournament.
The loss ends the Blue and White's season with a 15-3-3 overall record, that included its first Colonial States Athletic Conference championship since 2012. This is the eighth season the Cavaliers have claimed 15 victories and the first tme since 2009.
The Mustangs took advantage of some early game jitters for the Cavaliers, notching the match's first goal in the third minute of action.
The early deficit put Cabrini on its heels, as Morrisville State built a 10-4 advantage in first half shots. The Mustangs made the most of their opportunities, adding a pair of goals in a span of 75 seconds late in the first half.

Junior Joe Sheehan paired a goal and an assist for the Mustangs (14-4-2), while senior Danny Peckham added a pair of assists. Senior goaltender Rob Larkin made three saves to earn the victory.
Morrisville State will face No. 6 Amherst (14-1-1) in Sunday's second round.
