ALLENTOWN, Pa. – The Cabrini women's basketball team avoided unlucky 13 curse, as the No. 25 Cavaliers topped Cedar Crest College 83-40 for its 13th consecutive victory. The win improved the Blue and White to 19-3 on the season and 13-0 in the Colonial States Athletic Conference.
Juniors

Amber Keys led a balanced attack that saw 12 Cavaliers mark the soring column. The juniors posted 14 points and two assists each, while Keys paired 12 points and six rebounds.

Tayler Holmes added eight points, five rebounds and four assists to match freshman
Kate Skalski's eight points. Senior
Megan Decker tallied six points, seven boards and four helpers, while sophomore
Meghan Horn tallied six points and a team high eight rebounds.
The game's opening minute was a sign of what was to come for the next 39, as the Blue and White grabbed four offensive rebounds, got to the free throw line, forced a turnover and led 5-0.
The Cavaliers scored the game's first 12 points and never looked back. The club used its patented defensive effort to hold the Falcons to just 6-23 from the field and forced 14 first half turnovers en route to a 46-17 halftime lead.
Cabrini kept up its defensive pressure after the break, allowing Cedar Crest to shot just 18.2% from the floor in the second half.
The Blue and White also controlled the glass for the 13th consecutive game, outrebounding the Falcons 43-33, including 21-7 on the offensive boards. The Cavaliers also took care of the ball to the tune of just nine turnovers, one off their season low.
Breonna Lewis led Cedar Crest (5-16, 4-9 CSAC) with 17 points, while Shemeca Thompson paired 10 points and 11 rebounds off the bench.
Cabrini will return to the comfort of Nerney Field House on Wednesday, when it hosts Neumann University (10-11, 7-5 CSAC). Game time is slated for 6 p.m.
The Cavaliers scored a hard fought 61-52 win over the Knights just two weeks ago, as head coach
Kate Pearson earned her 100th victory.
Decker led the Cavaliers with a career high 20 points to go with a season high 11 rebounds. Peterson added 11 points, while classmate
Kristina Startare paired nine points and eight boards.
Four Knights recorded 10 points, including Jessica Metzger who also grabbed 10 rebounds in the loss.
