RADNOR, Pa. – The men's tennis team topped the Baptist Bible College Defenders 5-4 today at Dixon Courts. The Blue and White has now won four in a row and is 4-5 on the season and 4-1 in the CSAC.
The Cavaliers got off to a good start, winning two of three doubles matches. Senior
Anthony DiCicco and freshman
Alijah Broadnax led off with an 8-0 number one doubles win, improving to 6-2 on the season as a doubles pair. Sophomore's
Joe Pacifico and
Mike Halbherr teamed at number three doubles for the first time and won their match 8-6.
The teams split the six singles matches, with Cabrini's three wins enough to secure the overall victory. DiCicco notched a 6-4, 6-4 number one singles victory to improve to 4-1 in conference play. Broadnax improved to 5-0 in the league after his 6-2, 6-3 number two singles win. With the match on the line, Pacifico was able to pull out a 4-6, 6-3, 6-2 win in his number four singles match.
The Cavaliers will welcome the Gwynedd Mercy Griffins (1-1, 1-0 CSAC) to the Dixon Courts on Wednesday at 3:30 p.m.
