RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini men's tennis team (4-8, 4-3 CSAC) has earned the fourth seed in the 2014-15 Colonial States Athletic Conference postseason tournament and will play the one seed Gwynedd Mercy Griffins (9-1, 7-0 CSAC) tomorrow in the semifinal round at Legacy Tennis Center in Philadelphia, Pa. at 9:30 a.m.

The Neumann Knights (8-2, 6-1 CSAC) have earned the second seed and will play the third seeded Marywood Pacers (5-3, 5-2 CSAC), following the Cavaliers' matchup with the Griffins.

The winners of Friday's matches will advance to Saturday afternoon's championship match.  Saturday's victor will also earn the CSAC's automatic bid to the 2015 NCAA Tournament.

Dating back to the 2010-11 season the Blue and White has dropped three of the last five meetings against the Griffins by a score of 5-4. The last time the two teams met in the post season was 2009, as the Griffins scored a 5-3 win over the Cavaliers.

Cabrini fell 5-4 to the Griffins on April 1 in the teams' regular season meeting. The Griffins got off to a hot start winning two of three doubles matches but Cabrini bounced back.  Sophomore Joe Pacifico and freshman Hugo Ballon earned an 8-2 number two doubles win to make the Cavaliers' lone doubles point.

In singles play, junior Peter Brzezinski picked up the win for the Griffins in number one singles to extend the lead to 3-1. Freshman Alijah Broadnax answered with a number two straight set victory for the Blue and White. Ballon and Pacifico followed with number three and four singles victories, respectively, before the Cavaliers dropped the final two singles matches.

Senior Anthony DiCicco has been Cabrini's leader this season, winning five out of seven number one singles conference matches.

Broadnax has also been outstanding in conference play this year, winning all seven of his singles matches. Ballon is 6-1 in the CSAC in number three singles slot, while Pacifico remains undefeated (5-0) in conference action playing number four singles.

In doubles, DiCicco and Broadnax hold a 5-2 conference record in number one doubles, while Ballon and freshman Kyle Gormley sit at 3-1 in their number two doubles matches.

Brzezinski and fellow junior Joshua Carson led the way for a Griffins team that has won 31 out of 42 singles matches this season. Brzezinski is 8-0 in number one singles, while Carson is 9-1, with six of his wins coming in number five singles. Junior Alexander Channick has also been strong for the Griffins with a 5-2 conference record in number two singles.
