ASTON, Pa. – The Cabrini women's tennis team remained unbeaten in CSAC play today, following its 9-0 victory over Neumann. The Blue and White improves to 4-3 overall and 3-0 in conference action on the year. Senior Terra McHenry and junior Elena Conway battled to an 8-6 number one doubles win. Seniors Nicole Broccolino and Tori Yeich followed with an 8-2 number two doubles victory, while sophomores Stephanie Barkofski and Maggie Javitt paired to earn an 8-1 number three doubles win.
With a 3-0 lead entering singles play, the pressure was on the Knights. McHenry wouldn't let up though, as the senior won her number one singles match 6-2, 7-5. Broccolino followed suit in number two singles, earning her third conference win on the year by a score of 6-2, 6-1.
Conway and Yeich each scored 6-0, 6-1 victories in their number three and four singles matches, respectively. Barkofski captured a number five singles win in straight sets, while Javitt finished the Knights with an 8-1 number six singles victory.
The Cavaliers will look to keep their conference winning streak alive tomorrow, as they're on the road against Summit (0-5, 0-2 CSAC) at 1 p.m.
