PHILADELPHIA, Pa. - The Cabrini men's tennis team opened its 2015-16 season today at Philadelphia University. The Cavaliers were short two players and struggled to find their rhythm, falling 8-1. Reigning Colonial States Athletic Conference Rookie of the Year, sophomore Alijah Broadnax, paired with junior Sean Jaeger and fell 8-2 in their number one doubles match. Senior Colin Kilroy and junior Mike Halbherr dropped their number two doubles match 8-1.
Broadnax claimed Cabrini's lone singles points, with a victory at the number two flight. The Rams went on to take the next four matches, numbers five and six by default.
Cabrini will welcome Alvernia University (0-0) to the Dixon Courts next Tuesday for a non-conference match at 3:30 p.m.
