RADNOR, Pa. – The Cabrini women's basketball team left the court tonight with a feeling it hasn't experienced since January 18, 2014. The Blue and White suffered a 64-52 loss to Gwynedd Mercy tonight at Nerney Field House, snapping the Cavaliers' 29 game Colonial States Athletic Conference win streak.
The loss drops the Cavaliers to 6-7 overall and 3-1 in the CSAC.

Meghan Martin led the Blue and White with 13 points and grabbed six rebounds, while fellow senior

Renee Oliver chipped in with seven points each, while Oliver and senior
Mo O'Connell secured a team high eight boards.
After building an early lead, the Cavaliers saw GMercyU use a 13-2 spurt to take a 15-8 lead with two minutes left in the opening quarter. Oliver's jumper ended the run, as the Griffins carried a 15-10 lead into the second quarter.
The Blue and White turned the game around in the second quarter, as it outscored GMercyU 21-10. Trailing 18-12, Cabrini used a 17-6 run to build a 29-24 lead with just north of two minutes remaining in the half. Martin's free throw pushed the lead to a game-high 31-25 late in the period, a lead the Cavaliers carried into the halftime break.
The Griffins returned the favor in the third quarter, as they outscored the Blue and White 19-8. The Cavaliers shot just 3-19 in the period and committed six turnovers. On the other side of the floor, GMercyU found its offensive rhythm, connecting on 8-15 from the floor, including a pair of three pointers.
Cabrini saw its deficit grow to 52-43 at the 5:48 mark of the fourth quarter when it began its comeback. Oliver's jumper in the paint capped a 7-0 lead, pulling the Blue and White to within 52-50 with three minutes to play.
The Griffins responded with eight consecutive points and connected on 9-10 at the free throw line in the final three minutes to seal the victory.
Junior Charlotte Kucowski led the Griffins (10-3, 4-0 CSAC) with 15 points and grabbed 16 boards to complete the double-double. Classmate Nicole Dombrowski stuffed the stat sheet with 11 points, five rebounds, five assists, three blocked shots and three steals.
The Cavaliers will look to rebound on Saturday, as they travel to Aston, Pa. to face Neumann (5-8, 3-1 CSAC). Game time is scheduled for 1 p.m.
